B.S. of Business in Marketing & Minor in Business of Healthcare | May 2024
I received my Bachelors of Science in Business from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management in the Spring of 2024. At the University of Minnesota, I majored in marketing with a minor in the business of healthcare. I filled my curriculum with statistics and marketing strategy.
My minor in the business of healthcare provided me with knowledge of the healthcare marketplace, medical device technology, and healthcare data and statistical analyses. I gained experience calculating value and cost-effectiveness. I also became proficient in using SAS while analyzing HCCI, SynPUF, and SynUSA datasets.
Please see my portfolio for projects in which I collaborated to create proposals for companies such as Medtronic and BestBuy. Also, please see the attached White Paper on the Association of Anxiety Disorder Prevalence with Health Plans using SAS to perform a Chi Squared Test.
President & Founder of Letters of Love at the University of Minnesota
I established a Letters of Love chapter at the University of Minnesota during my second year at the University of Minnesota. My passion for Letters of Love’s mission of emotionally supporting the patients of local hospitals in our community through handmade cards drew me to initiate the chapter and expand its involvement.
Letters of Love provides students with a cost-free community service opportunity to close the gap in accessibility to philanthropic activities on the University of Minnesota campus. I served as the President for 3 years, leading an officer board of 8 students who share the same passion for philanthropy.
The chapter held monthly meetings to make cards for the children of local hospitals such as Children’s Minnesota and Regions Hospital. Over the 3 years, the chapter donated over 800 cards to Letters of Love Global, who then distributed the letters to children in need of a smile.
Orono High School | June 2020
I received my high school diploma from Orono High School. I was involved in many extracurriculars and served as Captain for Orono Women’s Lacrosse and Orono Girls Swim and Dive Team.
I also competed in DECA Career Conferences where I built a foundation of verbal communication, long-term project management, and time management. My greatest achievement in high school is the success of my Community Awareness Chapter Project. My team and I received 1st place in the State DECA Career Conference, qualifying us for the international competition in Orlando Florida.
I also volunteered my time with Letters of Love Global to contribute to the emotional support of local children battling cancer and other serious illnesses. I took charge of planning the first Letters of Love Teen Gala, managing a $10,000 budget. With my future insight, I also began my education in marketing as a junior, while also completing AP Statistics and AP Language.
